De PM-Chair is zo’n ontwerp dat al lang geleden had kunnen zijn bedacht. Het meubel lijkt als het ware, met inzet van kunstmatige intelligentie, uit de meubelgeschiedenis te zijn gedestilleerd.
Een afronding ook van het arsenaal aan vormzuiveringen waar het Modernisme toch vooral voor wilde staan; een invulling van een pro memory dus.
De stoel wordt uitgevoerd met een stalen of houten frame en kussens uit Poly-Urea-coating, stof, leer, etc. Meubelstof vervaardigd en i.o.o. ontworpen door kunstenaar Fransje Killaars.
Afmeting: L x B x H = 98 x 90 x 71 cm.
Prijs in deze uitvoering a € 3.595,- excl. BTW, € 4.350,- incl. BTW.
Dé universele relaxstoel; de GrandChair lijkt een hippe uitvoering van de traditionele, maar erg comfortabele ‘oma-fauteuil’. De stoel ziet er uitnodigend uit, en terecht; in alle zit- en hangposities geeft dit ding optimaal comfort.
Ongekend ook hoe twee eenvoudige 2d uitsnedes, eenmaal in elkaar geschoven, zo een uitputtend mooie en bruikbare 3d vorm kunnen doen ontstaan.
The PM-Chair is one such design that could have been conceived long ago. The piece of furniture seems, as it were, to have been distilled from furniture history with the use of artificial intelligence.
It seems a completion of the arsenal of purifications of form that Modernism wanted to stand for; an interpretation of a pro memory.
The chair is equipped with a steel or wooden frame and cushions made of Poly-Urea coating, fabric, leather, etc.

The GrandChair seems to be a hip version of the comfortable, traditional ‘grandma armchair’; thus an universal chair.
The chair looks inviting; rightly so. This object provides optimum comfort in all seating and hanging positions.
It also seems unprecedented how 2 simple 2D cut-outs, once pushed together, can create such an exhaustively beautiful and useful 3D volume.
